Leeds woman killed in A64 car crash near Copmanthorpe

A woman died when her car crashed into the central reservation on the A64 in North Yorkshire

The 38-year-old, from Leeds, was travelling west between Copmanthorpe, near York, and Bilbrough at about 23:25 BST on Thursday.

North Yorkshire Police said the woman's car, a grey Fiat Punto, hit the central reservation before overturning. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have urged witnesses to the crash to contact them.
