Mark Ford-Thompson denies York kidnap and rape

A man has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and raping a woman in York.

Mark Ford-Thompson, 36, of Hospital Fields, York, denied three counts of rape, one of kidnap, and one of attempted rape during an appearance via videolink at Teesside Crown Court.

The alleged attacks are said to have taken place in the city in the early hours of 29 October last year.

Mr Ford-Thompson was remanded to appear for trial at Teesside Crown Court on 22 April.
