Skipton man found dead in road named by police

A man found dead on a trunk road in rural North Yorkshire has been named by police.

Harry John Chamberlain was discovered with head injuries on the A65, near Draughton, on 8 January.

The 47-year-old from Skipton had been hit by a car which then stopped at the scene.

It was unclear if the man was already in the road or if a previous vehicle had struck him, a North Yorkshire Police spokesman said.
