Christmas geese stolen from North Yorkshire farm

One hundred geese, intended for the Christmas dinner table, have been stolen from a farm in North Yorkshire.

The geese, which police said were worth about £17,600, were taken sometime overnight between 7 and 8 December from a farm at Flawith, near Easingwold.

North Yorkshire Police has appealed for anyone who saw any large vehicles in the area to contact them.

The force said any businesses offered a large number of geese for sale should also contact them immediately.
