Child critically injured in North Yorkshire car crash

A six-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a car crash in North Yorkshire.

The boy was travelling in a Peugeot 106 when the car crashed on the A1041 between Snaith and Carlton at 17:20 GMT on Sunday.

Police said the boy suffered serious head injuries and is in a critical condition at Leeds General Infirmary.

The male driver, a woman front-seat passenger and a second child received minor injuries.
