Ronald Bamlett identified as man found in burning car

A man whose body was found in a burning car in a North Yorkshire village has been identified.

Ronald Bamlett, aged 74, from Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, was found at about 13:40 BST on Tuesday after reports of a car fire at Enterpen in Hutton Rudby, near Yarm.

Mr Bamlett's death is being treated by North Yorkshire Police as unexplained, a force spokesman said.

Officers said Mr Bamlett's family had been told of his death.
