A carer who stole thousands of pounds from an elderly woman has been jailed.

Felix Bradley, 22, who provided home visits and support for elderly people, withdrew £4,900 using the victim's cash card.

York Crown Court heard he was arrested after the victim's daughter noticed the withdrawals.

Bradley, of Thoresby Road, York, was sentenced to a year in prison after previously pleading guilty to fraud by false representation.

North Yorkshire Police said the victim was unable to use cash machines due to her disability.

The force has said Bradley acted out of "pure greed and selfishness".
