Arrests over suspected brothel in York

Three people have been arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected brothel in York.

North Yorkshire Police said two women, aged 38 and 41, and a 26-year-old man were being held in police custody.

The arrests followed a raid at an address on Skeldergate in the city centre.

A spokesman for the force said the investigation was at an early stage and that "reassurance" patrols would be taking place in the area.
