Gary Manders-Powell named as Whitby road crash victim

Gary Paul Manders-Powell Gary Manders-Powell had moved to Whitby only recently, police said.

A 21-year-old man who was killed in a car crash near Whitby has been named by police.

Gary Paul Manders-Powell died when his Ford Mondeo overturned on The Carrs between Ruswarp and Sleights on 30 April.

Police said Mr Manders-Powell was originally from Middlesbrough but had recently moved to Whitby.

The crash happened at 06:35 BST and North Yorkshire Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.
