Scarborough stabbing: Couple sought as witnesses

A couple who walked past the scene of a fatal stabbing in Scarborough have been urged to contact police.

Michael Vincent Graham, 19, was stabbed near an amusement arcade on Foreshore Road at 23:35 BST on Saturday evening.

Police said a 17-year-old boy, seriously injured in the incident, shouted for help to a man and woman walking opposite.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder.

The boy has also been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Det Ch Insp Maria Taylor, of North Yorkshire Police, said: "It is very important that the man and woman come forward to assist the investigation without delay.

"We need to speak to them urgently as they may have crucial information or detail that could assist the murder inquiry."
