Michael Graham stab death: Boy in Scarborough court

A 16-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager who was stabbed in Scarborough on Saturday.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Scarborough Youth Court charged with with the murder of 19-year-old Michael Vincent Graham.

He was also charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on a 17-year-old, who remains in hospital.

He will appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.

The boy was placed in a youth detention centre.

In a statement, Michael Graham's family said: "We are absolutely devastated by what has happened to Mickey and we're struggling to come to terms with the fact that he has gone."
