Menwith coach collision boy 'critical but stable'

A teenage boy who suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a coach is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

North Yorkshire Police said the boy, 14, is from Barnoldswick and was airlifted from the scene on Thursday afternoon.

Officers want to hear from witnesses to the crash outside the RAF Menwith Hill base, on the outskirts of Harrogate.

The boy is being treated at the James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
