Selby leisure centre fire: Images of planned new centre revealed
Images have been released of a planned new leisure centre for Selby, to replace one damaged by fire last year.
Demolition of Abbey Leisure Centre has begun, which the district council said was the "first step" to new facilities.
Plans are still being drawn up for the new centre, but the authority has revealed artists' impressions of what it could look like.
An initial report said the project might cost up to £9m. The council has asked Sport England to contribute £2m.
The fire started in the steam room and sauna area on 28 February last year, less than two years after it underwent a £1.1m refurbishment.
In November, councillors agreed to demolish the damaged building and build a new one with a larger gym, a six-lane swimming pool and an outdoor all-weather sports pitch.
No start date has been planned for construction to begin, but it is expected to take around two years to complete.
