Man charged over spate of church burglaries

A man has been charged in connection with a number of church burglaries in North and East Yorkshire during February.

Christopher John Coulthard, 50, was arrested by officers from the Humberside force on Sunday.

He faces four charges of burglary and one of theft.

Mr Coulthard, of Warwickshire, appeared at Beverley Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody. He is due before Hull Crown court on 25 March.
