Man and teenage boy in York court on murder charge

A man and a 16-year-old boy have appeared before magistrates in York charged with murdering a 50-year-old man.

David Keith Wright was attacked on Acomb Road, York, on 21 January. He died later in hospital.

Liam Wyard, 19, of Acomb Road, York, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are jointly charged with Mr Wright's murder.

They were remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 18 February.
