15-year-old charged over pedestrian's death in Stokesley

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal road accident that left a pedestrian dead.

Douglas Scott Robertson, 27, was killed in a collision as he walked along North Road, Stokesley, on Saturday.

North Yorkshire Police said the 15-year-old had also been charged with driving without a licence and without insurance.

The teenager is due to appear before magistrates on Tuesday.

Two further men have been charged in connection with the incident, officers said.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, and a second man, 48, has been charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of his duty.
