Motorcyclist dies after crashing into wall in Richmond

A 51-year-old man has died after his motorcycle crashed into a stone wall on the A6108 in North Yorkshire.

Police believe the man, from Seaham in County Durham, lost control of his vehicle after steering around water on the road on Saturday afternoon.

He was riding with two other motorcyclists, one of whom was his brother, towards Richmond on the A6108 Reeth Road.

The road was closed for four hours as police investigated the scene.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
