Arsonists torch ex-office site on Harlow Moor Road

Arsonists are being blamed for a blaze that wrecked a disused office block in Harrogate on Friday night.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said 20 firefighters were needed to tackle the flames at the single-storey building on Harlow Moor Road.

Crews using breathing equipment worked to quell the flames but the building suffered "severe fire damage"

A fire and rescue spokesman said other parts of the building had been badly damaged by heavy smoke.
