Teenager dies and seven hurt in Selby A19 crash
A 15-year-old girl has been killed in a crash on the A19 in North Yorkshire.
Seven others, including three other children and a baby, were injured in the incident at Chapel Haddlesey, near Selby.
North Yorkshire Police said two cars, a Ford Focus and a Vauxhall Astra, had collided at about 20:15 BST on Monday. The A19 was closed until 05:00.
The other children received only minor injuries and are being treated at hospitals in York and Wakefield.
Two of the three adults involved, including a man who had to be cut free from the wreckage, were seriously injured, according to officers.
