Selby PC charged with sexual assault

A police officer has appeared in court charged with sexual assault and misconduct in public office.

Matthew Daniel Fisher, 36, of York Road, Selby, did not enter any pleas at Hull Magistrates' Court.

The misconduct allegations include engaging in sexual activity while on duty and misusing the police national computer and a police radio.

Mr Fisher, who is suspended from North Yorkshire Police, was bailed to appear at Hull Crown Court on 9 August.

He was given conditional bail which prevents him from contacting the complainants.
