Two men and woman arrested over Scarborough shooting
Two properties in Scarborough were searched by armed officers on Monday
Detectives investigating a shooting in Scarborough have arrested three people including a 28-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
The man was arrested by officers at an address on New Queen Street along with a 51-year-old man who was held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Earlier a woman, 26, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
A 36-year-old man was shot at a property in High Garth, Eastfield, on Saturday and is recovering in hospital.
North Yorkshire Police said the woman was arrested at an address on Seamer Road at about 0840 BST.
A police spokesman said all three were in custody.
The injured man is recovering in hospital following surgery on a wound to his leg, officers said.
His condition is described as improving.
