Mortar bomb found at Talbot Hotel in Malton

Bomb disposal experts have dealt with an explosive device at a town in North Yorkshire.

The army unit was called in after workmen found what is thought to be a World War II mortar bomb at the Talbot Hotel in Yorkersgate, Malton.

A 200m cordon had been set up around the site and people were advised to avoid the area.

The roads were reopened soon after the bomb disposal team dealt with the device.
