Giant octopus lands in Yorkshire

Help

A Giant Pacific Octopus has arrived in North Yorkshire after being captured off the coast of Japan.

Now safely in a tank in Scarborough, the octopus is not dangerous but is inquisitive, according to its new keepers.

Toys containing food are used to make the octopus work harder to reach its food.

The octopus's arrival in Scarborough will give experts a chance to learn more about its behaviour.

Peter Lugg reports.
