Arrest over serious assault at Seamer caravan site

A man wanted in connection with a serious assault in North Yorkshire has been arrested.

James Smith, 43, underwent surgery after the assault at Seamer Caravan site in the Stokesley area on 22 July.

Police said a 22-year-old man from the Southbank area of Middlesbrough was arrested on Monday and bailed.

Two men from Middlesbrough, aged 30 and 20, have already been charged with unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
