Hatts Travel replacement school bus operators appointed

Replacement bus companies have been appointed to take over school routes across Wiltshire after the contractor Hatts Travel went into administration.

Hatts Travel ran a mixture of overseas holidays, day trips and local services across Wiltshire.

It folded in July with the loss of 89 jobs.

The company was responsible for taking 1,100 pupils to school on 25 different buses from its depots in Chippenham, Devizes and Salisbury.

Jason Salter, transport manager at Wiltshire Council, said new operators were ready for the start of term and timetables would remain the same.
