A man accused of the murder of a cyclist in Swindon and the attempted murder of a woman a few weeks earlier, has been remanded in custody.

Aulton Thomas Rogers, 60, died after being stabbed on a path near to the town's train station, on 26 June.

Wiltshire Police said that on 8 May, Leanne James, 24, from Swindon, had been attacked on the same path.

Jason Voong, 27, was not present at Bristol Crown Court for the hearing on Friday, which was adjourned.

Mr Voong of Southbrook Street, Ferndale, is due to appear at the same court on 19 September.
