Swindon cyclist murder: Police granted more time to quiz suspect

Police have been granted more time to question a man suspected of murdering a cyclist in Swindon.

Aulton Thomas Rogers, 60, known as Tom, was found with multiple stab wounds on a cycle path near the train station late on Thursday.

A 28-year-old Swindon man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday

Wiltshire Police have been granted a second extension by a magistrate allowing a further 36 hours to continue questioning the suspect.

The man was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and grievous bodily harm with intent for a separate incident on 8 May at the same location.
