Two police officers have been released from hospital after being injured in a disturbance in Devizes.

Police were called to reports of people fighting outside the Corn Exchange in the early hours of Sunday.

Two men, aged 22 and 24, both from Calne, were later arrested on suspicion causing grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman appealed for anyone who may have footage of any part of the incident.

"Both officers were taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment but were later released and they are recovering at home," he said.

He added a "large number" of people were in the Market Place area at about 03:15 BST and detectives want to find out what happened before police arrived.
