Wiltshire motorists warned of abnormal load

Motorists in Wiltshire are being warned of an abnormal load that is likely to cause congestion as it is transported from south Wales to Kemble on Sunday.

The Airbus A321 aircraft fuselage will be escorted by police from MOD St. Athan, near Barry, to Cotswold Airport.

The journey will begin in Wiltshire at 13:00 GMT from junction 18 of the M4, where the load will be transported in convoy.

It will then depart at junction 15 on to the A419 towards Cirencester.

The transporter and its load will be 6.10m (20ft) wide and weigh a total of 58 tonnes.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "Due to the size of this transporter it will be slow moving and will have the potential to create congestion.

"Wherever possible, disruption will be kept to a minimum but hauliers and motorists are asked to please be patient if they come across this load."
