Devizes waste recycle centre fire sends up huge smoke cloud

Fire at recycling centre in Devizes Smoke from the fire can be seen for miles around

A fire at a waste recycling centre has sent a massive cloud of smoke billowing across Devizes.

The blaze broke out at the Wiltshire Waste site in Nursteed Road at about 17:00 GMT.

Police said there was heavy smoke in the area and drivers had been urged to take care as visibility could be reduced in places.

Meanwhile, people living in the area have been warned to keep windows and doors shut.
