Two men arrested after double sexual assault in Swindon

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of rape following separate assaults on a woman in Swindon on the same night.

The 28-year-old woman was walking home along Cricklade Road after a night out on Saturday.

The first assault took place in an alleyway between Handel Street and Poulton Street.

After the attack, the woman continued home, but was then assaulted by a second man in an alleyway off Ferndale Road.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said a 34-year-old man had been released on bail and a second man, aged 37, was still being questioned.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
