A man has pleaded guilty to killing his wife at a court hearing in Bristol.

Richard Newton was arrested after the body of Suzanne Bavette Newton, 45, was found at a house in the Bowerhill area of Melksham, Wiltshire on 13 January.

He accepted a charge of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility at Bristol Crown Court.

The 52-year-old, of Barnes Wallis Close, was remanded in custody until 13 December when he is due to be sentenced.
