Bradford-on-Avon hit-and-run: Driver sought by police

A man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car which failed to stop in Wiltshire, police said.

The accident happened at 22:00 GMT by the Beef and Barge public house in Trowbridge Road, Bradford-on-Avon.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said the driver of the hatchback car would we "fully aware" of the accident as there was vehicle debris left at the scene.

The victim, in his 30s, suffered "major injuries" and officers are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

The vehicle was a small hatchback, light in colour with black trim and had damage to the left side.
