Devizes man held in custody on attempted murder charges

A 35-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court to face two counts of attempted murder.

The charges are in relation to a van carrying two passengers which was set alight on a petrol station forecourt in Wiltshire on Friday, 31 July.

Russell Osborne from Waiblingen Way, Devizes, appeared at Winchester Crown Court.

The two passengers who were in the van at the time managed to put the fire out before firefighters arrived.

Mr Osborne is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 18 October.
