Devizes arrest after car set alight with men inside

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a van was set alight at a petrol station in Devizes, Wiltshire.

Two men in their 20s were in the van at the Esso garage on Bath Road on Friday evening and managed to put the fire out before firefighters arrived.

The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday and is being questioned by detectives.

He remains in custody at Melksham police station.

Wiltshire Police have asked anyone who was at the garage at about 19:00 BST on Friday to contact them.
