A CCTV image of a Wiltshire man missing since Friday night has been released as a major search for him continues.

Tom Edwards, 33, from Calne, left Rudis bar in Swindon between 21:45 and 22:15 BST and was later given a lift to a bus stop by two police officers.

But he failed to make it home which his wife Dee said was "really unlike him".

Wiltshire Search and Rescue is working with the police helicopter and officers on the ground to search locations in Chippenham and Calne.

According to the police, the last known phone signal from Mr Edwards' mobile was within the Chippenham area.

An appeal has been made for four people, who got on a 55A bus travelling from Swindon to Chippenham the same night at about 23:00 BST, to come forward.

'Desperate to help'

Officers have also asked members of the public to not get involved in the search.

Insp Phil Staynings said: "I would like to thank the local community and the wider public for their support and assistance with this investigation so far.

"What I would ask now, however, is that the organised searches are left to the police officers and trained Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) volunteers.

"I know that the local community is desperate to help, but I would ask that they seek the advice of local police officers before beginning any search of their own."

Mr Edwards is described as white, of thin build with short brown hair. He also has distinctive Ironman tattoos on his right leg and left arm which depict a red and white Austrian flag.
