Swindon street attack CCTV appeal

CCTV images Police want to trace people captured on CCTV outside the Kings Arms Hotel in Wood Street in the early hours of Monday 1 April

Police have released CCTV images of potential witnesses they want to speak to after a man was found in a Swindon street with serious head injuries.

The victim was found outside the Kings Arms Hotel in Wood Street, Old Town, in the early hours of Monday 1 April.

He underwent brain surgery, and remains in a serious but stable condition in the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.

Abuzer Erdem, 27, of St Austell Way, Swindon has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He has been released on bail to appear at Swindon Crown Court on 19 April.

Wiltshire Police stressed that the people in the images are not being treated as suspects, but as witnesses who might hold vital information about the attack.
