Suzanne Newton Suzanne Bavette Newton's body was discovered at a house in Melksham on Sunday morning

The body of a woman found at a house in Wiltshire has been named by police.

Suzanne Bavette Newton, 45, of Barnes Wallis Close in the Bowerhill area of the town, was found dead on Sunday. Her next of kin have been informed.

Her husband, 51-year-old Richard Newton, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He was arrested in Dulverton, Somerset, on Monday and given medical treatment after being assessed. He remains in custody at Melksham police station.

Ms Newton, a keen horse rider, was employed by a Calne-based recruitment agency. Colleagues have left floral tributes outside her home.

One read: "18 flowers from 18 people thinking of you. Such a sad loss, lots of love from everyone at DGA (Darren Guinness Associates)."

Another said: "RIP. Always in our hearts, sleep tight, sweet dreams. Julia, David and Caitlin."
