Melksham Christmas Day crash victim identified

A man who died in a car crash in the early hours of Christmas Day has been named by police.

Lithuania-born Nerijus Partikas, who lived in Melksham, was travelling in a car which crashed on the A3102 in the town at around 03:30 GMT.

The driver and three other passengers injured in the accident are expected to make a full recovery, police said.

A police spokeswoman said Mr Partikas's family, none of whom live in the UK, have been informed.

The road near the Cooper Tires factory was shut for six hours after the crash.
