Damage is caused in Wiltshire church raids
Four churches in south Wiltshire have been targeted by thieves who caused "serious damage" forcing doors and cupboards open.
A number of safes, collection boxes and other items were stolen in the raids in the Amesbury area.
A scout hut and social club were also targeted, said police.
Insp Christian Lange said: "This has been devastating for the community who find it hard to comprehend how people could commit offences of this nature."
Christ The King Church, St Mary and St Melors Church and scout hut, All Saints Church in Middle Woodford, All Saints church in Enford and Woodborough Social Club were all targeted on Thursday.
