Salisbury city centre revamp plans go on display
Stanhope director Gary Bourne said the development will enhance the city
Plans to create a new £50m shopping quarter in the centre of Salisbury have gone on display.
Developers Stanhope Plc were chosen by Wiltshire Council in May to transform The Maltings and the Central Car Park.
The draft proposals include new shops, restaurants, leisure facilities and enhanced links with historical areas of the city centre.
Stanhope director Gary Bourne said he was "delighted" to give the public the chance to comment on the plans.
He said the development will "support and enhance the overall city experience".
The proposals are on display at Salisbury Guildhall.
A second exhibition is planned for next year in advance of submission of an outline planning application anticipated for later in 2013.
