Power has been restored to all of the homes and businesses in south Wiltshire which were affected by an outage in the early hours.

The power went off at about 05:30 GMT in the areas of Downton, Redlynch and Barford, affecting some 1,300 Southern Electric customers.

The firm said power had been restored to all the properties that were affected by 10:30 GMT.

A spokesman said the cause of the power cut was being investigated.
