Chippenham car park death not being treated as suspicious

The death of a woman who was found under burning rubbish in a car park in Wiltshire is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have said.

The remains were found by a police dog handler on patrol at the Sainsbury's store in Bath Road, Chippenham, at about 03:00 BST on Tuesday.

Wiltshire Police said they were confident they knew the identity of the woman, who was in her 40s.

Her family have been told, the spokesman said.

He said formal identification of the woman had not yet been completed.

The coroner is investigating the "circumstances of this untimely and sudden death", he added.
