Chiseldon post office armed robbery suspect charged

A man has been charged with robbing a Wiltshire post office at gunpoint.

A female member of staff was threatened during the raid at Chaplins newsagents in Chiseldon on 16 January.

The man, 22, who was arrested in London on Thursday, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court accused of robbery and a firearms offence.

A second man was also arrested in London late on Thursday evening and has been brought back to Swindon police station for further questioning.
