Cyclist dies after crash with Mini near Amesbury

A cyclist has died in hospital after colliding with a car in Wiltshire on Sunday.

Ian Tompkins, 51, from Netheravon, was on an unclassified road between Enford and Fittleton, near Amesbury, when the accident occurred at about 0930 BST.

He was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with internal injuries and died in the early hours of Friday.

The car driver, a 38-year-old woman, was uninjured. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
