Man dies after four-vehicle crash

A man has died in hospital four days after he was injured in a collision in County Durham.

Four vehicles were involved in the incident on the A693 at Beamish on Saturday lunchtime.

Ian Brown, 45, from Causey View, Stanley, was airlifted to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, but died early on Thursday.

Durham Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash at the entrance to the Topgun Paintball Centre.
