Selfie leads to Newcastle burglary arrests

Three teenagers have been arrested after a selfie photograph allegedly taken on a stolen mobile phone uploaded to a storage area.

Police said electronic devices were taken during the break-in at the World Headquarters offices in Carliol Square, Newcastle, early on 8 March.

An image allegedly taken on a stolen phone later appeared on an i-Cloud.

Three 18-year-olds - two men and a woman - were arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been bailed.
