Gosforth Post Office robbery: Woman tied up

Gosforth Post Office Police were called just before 09:00 GMT to the post office

A woman was tied up during a robbery at a post office on Tyneside.

Police were called to Gosforth High Street when the alarm was triggered just before 09:00 GMT.

They found that a robbery had taken place but Northumbria Police has not yet disclosed detail of what was taken.

The woman was left shaken and with minor injuries. Anyone who noticed any suspicious people or vehicles in the area is asked to contact the force.
