Newcastle Beehive pub assault: Kenneth Brough dies

A man has died after being assaulted outside a Newcastle city centre pub.

Kenneth Brough, 65, of Sycamore Street, Lemington, suffered a serious head injury outside The Beehive, on High Bridge, on 28 January.

He was taken to hospital where he died early on Friday.

A 20-year-old man appeared at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on 30 January charged with causing grievous bodily harm. Another man held over the attack was released on bail.
