No action after Marske Terrace woman's drug death

Ten people who were arrested when a woman died after taking drugs at a house in Newcastle have been released with no further action, police said.

A 29-year-old was taken ill at an address in Marske Terrace in July.

The woman later died after having a "severe" reaction to the drugs, according to police.

Ten men and women, who were also at the address, were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs.

A police spokesperson said: "All 10 who were arrested have now been released and there will be no further police action."
